Who are we?
CommonSenseSaratoga is a group of citizens that love our city. We want our children and grandchildren to grow up here and enjoy this wonderful place for years to come. We are made up of citizens from all walks of life and varied political affiliations. What unites us is not any single issue, but a desire that our government and its representatives act in the best interests of the entire city, deliver services economically, and create an atmosphere that encourages participation by all citizens. We believe the best way for any government to operate is with accountability, real representation and transparency.
To that end, we are dedicated to giving visibility to the issues facing our city; insisting that our elected officials respond to the issues and take appropriate action; and providing information which allows each citizen to decide whether the decisions taken by our government meet their needs. We are committed to pursuing these goals with civility and without rancor, while helping our government be accountable and responsive.
